about

I honestly thought this track was lost. As in gone for good.
A "much darker" Chestnut Mare (by the Byrds);
Still the imagery and feel (I think) is tender, even beautiful.
I get pretty giddy when stuff like this happens. the song was found, just yesterday by the lead guitarist on this track, Aaron Regenold. Recorded during the Power & the Glory sessions. These "kids" were the studio engineers on the project at St. Francis University in Ft. Wayne, IN where VoL recorded the album. VoL had left and I had this one song left to do. We set up the gear, ran the cables learned the song...and pushed "record."
A tad loose...but thought they did great job.
The "putting down the horse" lyric/chorus was is a vivid metaphor for cauterizing the nerve of a dream I was chasing.
